About Victoria Fahnestock, MSW, LCSWA
Victoria aims to help her clients “grow through what they go through.” She discovered her passion for hearing the experiences and stories of others while studying Psychology at NC State University. This led her to pursue an MSW degree where she was able to delve into her enthusiasm for providing therapy to individuals to foster a more positive sense of well-being. Victoria is driven by unwavering compassion and empathy as she works with her clients to build a therapeutic alliance in order to tackle identified challenges. Through building a strengths-based and individual-centered foundation in holistic therapy, Victoria believes in promoting a safe, trusting and nonjudgmental environment that encourages each client to find and become the best version of themselves. She strives to select therapeutic approaches the best fit with the client’s specific needs and goals. Some of these modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, art therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-focused approaches. Victoria advocates for each client by validating their feelings and emotions, meeting the client where they are at in their journey, and encouraging the client to uncover goals and solutions based on their individual needs and strengths.
