About Ryan Pastor, LCMHC
Ryan is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who enjoys working with adults of all ages who may seek counseling for a variety of reasons including depression, anxiety, identity issues, grief and loss, life transitions, interpersonal concerns, trauma, and problematic substance use.
Ryan typically begins the psychotherapeutic process using Person-Centered techniques in which the individual seeking counseling is given the autonomy to explore their presenting concerns freely without judgment. He then shifts his theoretical orientation to the needs of the client. Ryan is passionate about counseling theory and frequently educates himself and his clients about the most appropriate evidence based-practices but also draws from his experience working in array of mental health settings including residential mental health, inpatient dual-diagnosis, and partial hospitalization programs. Ryan believes that the client-therapist relationship is a sacred bond reflective of one of the most basic human traits: the need to collaborate with one another rather than face life's challenges alone.
