About Robert Alessi, M.D.

Dr. Robert Alessi was born and raised in NYC. He graduated from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completed his Psychiatric training at Columbia and Cornell. Thereafter, he was a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at NYU and had a successful private outpatient and consultation practice in NYC. He moved to Virginia where he was a medical director and was overseeing an outpatient practice, a psychiatric hospital and consultation services at a general hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia for 15 years. He relocated to Upstate NY where he served as the Chief Medical Officer of a Prominent Psychiatric facility in Saratoga Springs, NY. He decided to move to Northern California when his son was accepted to USC (University of Southern California) and practiced with Bay Psychiatric Associates in Berkeley 2013, Annadel Medical group as their Behavioral Health Medical Director 2014 2016 and most recently with PCSD in San Diego 2019 2021. He is Board Certified and has expertise in a broad spectrum of Psychiatric Disorders, Psychotherapy, Consultation Liaison, Psychopharmacology and Adolescent Psychiatry. He enjoys learning and teaching and encourages a comprehensive approach to wellness. His personal interests include fitness, sports cars, nature, rescue dogs and most importantly, family.
