About Oluwaseyi Ajayi, PMHNP
Oluwaseyi Jennifer Ajayi has had a desire to serve others since she was a child. She found that our mental health often takes the back seat in our lives, but mental health can shape and dictate how one’s day-to-day progresses. Oluwaseyi wants to help provide tools, guidance, and treatment options for those struggling with psychiatric illness. Oluwaseyi is most passionate about changing the stigma around what mental health is and how it is discussed. The opportunity to help change a patient's life for the better is something she truly looks forward to. Oluwaseyi would like patients to be active in their treatment plans because people who are consistent with their care do so because they want or need to. Developing patient-centered treatment plans helps with trust, communication, and compliance. Oluwaseyi is very focused on education. She has found that patients often do not understand their diagnosis or treatment plans, so making sure that everyone is on the same page is extremely important for her. She considers herself to be respectful and honest. She tries not to sugarcoat things and will always provide the best options to come to a compromise or agreement.
