About Mark Merritt, PMHNP

Mark Merritt was drawn to mental health and addiction while working in the emergency room. He understands that no illness is easy, however an illness that cannot always be seen or assessed with the eye can be difficult to understand and decrease one’s quality of life. He wants to assist these individuals in gaining their quality of life back. Mark views his practice as a partnership between the patient and him, where you two work together and contribute to the plan that leads to safe and efficient care for them as well as improvement in their overall quality of life. Mark’s experience outside of outpatient psychiatry. He has worked in all aspects of care from the emergency room to the inpatient unit, and now outpatient. He understands the system and its short comings and is committed to preventing his patients from ever “falling through the cracks”.
