About Elise Middleton, PSYDDr. Elise Middleton specializes in working with infants, toddlers, children, teens, and families. Dr. Middleton is aware of the various intersectionalities that impact a person’s experience including relationships, culture, gender, and sexuality. She is interested in serving LGBTQ+ patients and those with religious trauma. Dr. Middleton is informed by psychodynamic and attachment theories, and cognitive behavioral techniques. She offers play therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, art therapy, and individualtreatment modalities. Dr. Middleton collaboratively creates a treatment plan individualized for each patient. She completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco Infant-Parent Program.
