About Zishan Khan, MD

Dr. Zishan Khan is board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Dr. Khan primarily treats children, adolescents, and young adults suffering from ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues that often keep them from reaching their full potential. He works with patients of various cultural and professional backgrounds, helping people improve their lives and conquer their struggles. He prides himself on being compassionate, empathetic, down to earth, and relatable. His focus is on treating the person as a whole and not just individual symptoms, as he truly believes every human being is unique, with differing circumstances, motivations, experiences, and life factors. Dr. Khan believes medication alone is not always the best way of addressing a person's mental health battle. True long-lasting improvement is achieved by combining pharmacologic interventions with therapy since it is important to look at the relationship between biological, psychological, and socio-environmental factors. When necessary, he communicates with therapists and other physicians to ensure the best course of treatment for his patients. He strives to remove the stigma associated with mental health and empower his patients with knowledge and tools to set them up for future success and long-term improvement. Dr. Khan completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and his child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of South Florida. He is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
