About Zainab Al-Dhaher, M.D.

Dr. Zainab Al-Dhaher is a board-certified psychiatrist. After completing her undergraduate and master’s degrees at McGill University, she graduated from medical school in 2011 from St. George’s University. Dr. Al-Dhaher trained at Long Island Jewish-Northwell Hospital, New York for her adult residency, where she fulfilled the role of chief resident. She then trained at New York University and Bellevue Hospital for her child and adolescent fellowship.

Dr. Al-Dhaher integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family-based therapy modalities into her practice. When working with children and teenagers she is passionate about empowering the entire family unit and strengthening school and community supports. She believes mindfulness, healthy lifestyle, and strong social connections are crucial to improving mental health and treating the person, not the illness.

In her spare time, Dr. Al-Dhaher enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
