About Summer Thompson, PMHNP

Summer Thompson, DNP, PMHNP-BC is an ANCC Board-Certified, Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in mental health for well over a decade helping members of the general public, veterans and active-duty military personnel to achieve their best possible selves. Summer encourages mental health by treating the “whole ” person, not simply symptoms and disease.  She achieves this in partnership with her clients through shared decision making, medication management, diet, and exercise. She strives to provide a supportive setting to achieve wellness for all individuals regardless of age, gender, orientation, culture, race or religion. Summer completed undergraduate degrees from both Gonzaga University and Johns Hopkins University and received her graduate education as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from U.C. San Francisco where she continues to teach as a Professor in the School of Nursing.
