About Sharon Walker, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Sharon Walker is dual board-certified as a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner. Dr. Walker works with adults and uses psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. She was inspired to become a clinician because of her desire to empower people to better understand themselves. Mental illness can occur in an environment of interpersonal relationships, cognitive distortions, co-occurring medical illnesses, and biological disturbances. Dr. Walker utilizes a variety of methods to ensure each issue is addressed appropriately. Beyond her therapeutic practice, she is also an urban farmer with a garden, six chickens, and quail.
