Najma has worked with adults, adolescents, and children with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. She has provided crisis intervention, risk assessments, and supportive therapy with children, adults, and their families at both inpatient and outpatient mental health clinics.

Najma utilizes a holistic approach inclusive of Strength-based Solution Focus Therapy, Positive Psychology, Empowerment and she has obtained certification in several Evidence-Based Practices (EBTs) and Relapse Prevention Treatment. These EBTs include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, CORS (Crisis Oriented Recovery Services), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety (trauma-focused work) Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction Models such as the Matrix Relapse Prevention Model, which is one of the most effective treatments for adult and adolescents struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.
