About Mahreen Ahmed, MD
Dr. Mahreen Ahmed is comfortable treating adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health conditions, including severe mental illness and co-occurring medical conditions. Dr. Ahmed takes her time to gather a detailed history about each patient’s symptoms, development, and family before making a diagnosis and treatment plan. Her modalities can include supportive and cognitive behavioral therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and esketamine treatment. Dr. Ahmed can also complete bariatric surgery evaluations. Her goal is for patients to participate in their treatment plan, feel comfortable asking questions, and be empowered with information, tools, and psychoeducation to use in real-world situations. Dr. Ahmed is comfortable treating patients who speak Urdu and Hindi. A fun fact she wants people to know is that the human brain has enough memory to store all the information on the internet.Education & Certifications
