About Lynette Thompson, MSW, LCSW
Lynette is passionate about contributing to the growth of others. The highlight of her work is witnessing patients develop greater insight, self-love, and empowerment in their individual journeys. She believes that people are the experts of their own lives and sees it as her role to help them navigate their process. Ms. Thompson works with patients to achieve the potential that is uniquely theirs and to promote well-being, dignity, and self-worth. In sessions, she strives to embody a warm, genuine, accepting spirit and to be unconditionally supportive. Her past work included creating school policies for domestic violence in schools; facilitating psycho-educational groups on goal setting, coping skills, and life skills; and helping to run dialectical group therapy sessions for victims of substance abuse. In sessions she is informed by a variety of therapy modalities, including patient-centered Therapy, Talk Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
