About Lindsay Rodwell, LCMHC, LCAS
Lindsay Rodwell has worked with children, teens, and adults for over 10 years in classroom, home, community, and clinic settings. She felt like something was missing in her day-to-day career as a teacher and then case manager but she knew she enjoyed working with individuals one on one. After a personal journey in individual therapy, she found the road she wanted to explore. She felt empowered to live her life in a way that shows grace yet refuses to allow others' expectations drive her decisions. She felt counseling was a pivotal point in her life for the better and wanted to share that experience with others.
Lindsay is most passionate about advocating for patients to accept who they are and care about the actions they do have control over to lead fuller, happier lives. She wants her patients to feel safe, relaxed, and free to be their most authentic selves in sessions. She values taking time to build rapport in the beginning so the work of healing can unfold holistically. Her findings have been that once patients develop the habit of making value-based decisions they move closer to the life they desire.
The combination of education and mental health training has allowed Lindsay to approach therapy with a unique developmental focus. Lindsay's creative side shines through each session. She enjoys developing well-rounded individualized treatment plans that include journaling, art, music, literature, role-play, etc. Once she meets with you, you will identify a starting point to get things rolling. You'll work together to ensure counseling is the most appropriate outlet possible to work through troubling moments.
