About Lauro Amezcua-Patino, MD

Dr. Lauro Amezcua-Patino has over 34 years of experience in board-certified adolescent and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Amezcua-Patino treats patients with transcranial magnetic stimulation, esketamine treatment, buprenorphine, and suboxone treatment. He has experience in private practice and public settings and is the former chairman of the State of Arizona Psychiatric Security Review Board. Dr.Amezcua-Patinocompleted his internship at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social in Mexico, a one-year externship in family medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and his psychiatric residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He is fluent in Spanish and is an associate professor at Midwestern University and at A.T. Still University.Dr. Amezcua-Patinoalso treats opioid and alcohol use disorders with Suboxone and other evidenced-based practice methods to achieve current and future sobriety, a return to health and wellness, and improved daily life.
