About Kelly Jo Vancelette, MSW, LCSW
Kelly Jo Vancelette has a wide variety of experience working as a therapist in diverse settings since 1997, providing cognitive behavioral therapy with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She was in the Army and enjoys working with military personnel and their families. Kelly also has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and often works with individuals who have experienced traumatic life events. Whether working with children or adults, she works hard to help individuals better understand their symptoms and to develop more effective skills in managing or eliminating their symptoms. In an effort to do so, Kelly often educates patients about improved communication skills, relaxation skills, conflict management, and stress reduction techniques. She believes it’s essential for parents to be involved in the treatment of their children and while change and growth can be an intimidating process, anything is possible with the right support and relationship.
