About Kelly Garrity, LMFT
Kelly was inspired by her childhood curiosity to understand the “why.” She specializes in helping adults overcome childhood pain, old fears, and ineffective relationship habits. She also helps patients break free of old patterns and create the richer, more meaningful life they want and deserve to live. Kelly has an integrated and systemic approach to therapy, blending tools and wisdom of the arts with evidenced-based, neuroscience-informed interventions. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, family play therapy, and creative and expressive art therapies. Kelly has experience working in community mental health settings; psychiatric day treatments for children; group and private practices; neurofeedback clinics; and group, family, and individual therapy at substance abuse treatment facilities. She is a parent of two children with learning differences and neurodiverse needs. Kelly is passionate about working with neurodivergent people and their families. These include patients with ADHD, autism, learning differences, or those who may consider themselves to be “highly sensitive.” She loves music, yoga, and the arts: singing, playing the piano and ukulele, yoga and meditation, and writing. Kelly feels connected and fulfilled in caring for others.Education & Certifications
