About Julian Lagoy, M.D.

Julian Lagoy, M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Lagoy completed his psychiatry residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Dr. Lagoy has published in multiple medical journals and has presented his research at the American Psychiatric Association National Meeting and the World Psychiatric Association International Congress in Spirituality and Psychiatry. His research focuses on post suicide attempt survival and provider attitudes toward LGBTQ patients. During residency, Dr. Lagoy served on the hospital ethics committee and was the recipient of the humanism in psychiatry award. He was also awarded by an international NGO for his volunteer service work and compassion in patient care. Dr. Lagoy has a passion for service and has participated in medical missions and service trips all over the world. He uses this same passion to serve all his patients.

Dr. Lagoy speaks English and Spanish. He is an avid traveler and has visited over 30 countries. He is also a big sports fan and plays and follows soccer, football, and basketball.
