About Jessica Aycock, LCSW
Jessica Aycock was a former journalist and people’s stories have always fascinated her. She believes there is a lot of growth that comes from telling our stories and having them heard openly. As a social worker, she not only gets to hear people’s stories, but also help them change the narrative and take control of their lives. Jessica is passionate about working with individuals undergoing major life transitions, who feel as though they don’t fit in, or especially those who feel as though they are undergoing a spiritual awakening. She is also passionate about working with military families on the unique challenges that come with the military lifestyle, and the transition out of the military. Jessica believes in working with patients on a holistic level, working with them to address lifestyle changes that may help improve their mental health. She tells clients that her goal is to get them to a place where they don’t need her anymore. Jessica likes to say; “she’s not your momma’s therapist”, which means she has a broad view of the world and is open to a lot of things that others may not be. She will probably ask your sign and completely empathize with you when you talk about the full moon or Mercury in retrograde. She has a sex-positive viewpoint and is well versed in non-traditional relationships and is a kink ally. She also uses different self-care, mindfulness, problem solving, and solution-focused modalities; and has received training in energy psychology, yoga, and Reiki.Conditions Treated
