About Jerri Sendach, Ph.D.
Dr. Jerri Sendach is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Sendach helps individuals deal with problems of anxiety, intrusive worrying thoughts, depression, grieving, loneliness, and unsatisfactory relationships. She provides help for those transitioning in all life's stages, from establishing an independent, confident identity in young adulthood to maintaining purpose, relationships, and joy in later years. She has a special interest in helping people in addiction recovery/12 Step programs to continue to heal and work through issues in a private atmosphere; she also provides support and psychoeducation for their family members. For those clients who place importance on spiritual traditions and practices, Dr. Sendach has helped people integrate this dimension into their therapy and their lives. She also works extensively with traditional therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral and short-term/ problem focused therapy. Therapy is individualized and provided in an atmosphere of warmth, acceptance, and respect.
Dr. Sendach received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Hofstra University, New York in 1985. She also trained at Adelphi University's Post-doctoral Program for Psychotherapy. She has worked in private practice and in-patient settings.
