Erin Mahoney earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. A native to the Cary/Raleigh area, Erin loves her local community and wants to do everything in her power to give back to her local healthcare community. She’s good with youth, striving to empower them by giving them the tools and life skills that they need in order to take control of their own mental health (that goes for adults, too!) She believes in individualized, specially tailored care—each individual is unique, so their treatment should be too. Erin currently treats ages 5 to 64 in Raleigh, NC, where she specializes in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ODD.

Dr. Mahoney is upfront with all of your medications and knows just how she wants it to work for you, to keep you balanced. She generally makes me smile after a rough day, and always knows what to say to make me talk more about what's going on in my life.

The whole experience was amazing. It s not often that you just click with a provider and I feel like that s what happened here. Erin is AMAZING. This was our first visit and it was very real. I didn t feel the need to tip toe around anything and she was very straight forward which is what I need.

Erin Mahoney took so much time with my son. He's 13 and has High Functioning Autism. He left feeling heard and like he could finally get help. She's so gentle, understanding, patient, and kind. She explained ALL of our options and we were able to feel safe in the course of treatment we chose. It was definitely a team approach, as she included my thoughts and my son's. Amazing provider!
