About Corina Martinez, LCSW
Corinaprovides psychotherapy for teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is passionate about helping adolescents and their families manage mental health issues, especially as they transition into adulthood. Many youths experience suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, substance abuse, sleep difficulties, and dissociation that may interfere with school, work, family, and friends. Corina utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, and solution-focused therapy. She also teaches relaxation and grounding techniques, promotes journaling, socialization skills, stress management, and independent living skills. She believes therapy is collaborative effort and that patients are experts in their lives. Corina was inspired to become a therapist because of her community’s lack of awareness and access to mental health resources. She was raised in a Mexican-American family where conversations about mental health were “taboo.” Corina seeks to promote mental health and wellness for individuals of all cultural backgrounds. She loves to play basketball and spend time with her cat.Education & Certifications
