About Carla Sinclair, PMHNP
Carla Sinclair believes that mental health is often overlooked and unvalued as part of a patient’s treatment plan. Carla wanted to do her part in helping reduce the stigma by being a champion of stigma reduction. Carla is passionate about helping patients and creating creative solutions to help the patients meet their goals. Her objectives are to promote mental health through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral problems, mental disorders, and co-morbid conditions. Carla’s philosophy is to use evidence-based practice guidelines, therapeutic skills, and pharmacological interventions. Carla has more than 14 years of experience as a bedside nurse. She has learned that it isn’t always the medical treatment that helps a patient get well. It is also the psychological aspect of medicine and listening to the patient’s wants and needs. Carla finds the following quote powerful; “Simply begin again. The good life is a process, not a state of being. It’s a direction, not a destination.”Conditions Treated
