About Brittney Brinson, LCMHC
One aphorism that guides Ms. Brinson in her work is, “Remember that growing may feel like breaking at first.” Empathetic and compassionate as a therapist, her goal is to aid patients in regaining courage, self-confidence, and personal power. She has found that the most rewarding part of her role is getting to witness a person progress through their therapeutic journey, restoring strength and increasing fulfillment. Drawing from an abundance of therapeutic techniques, Brittney is flexible in her style of counseling in order to accommodate each person’s needs, but generally gravitates toward a person-centered approach in order to build safe and nonjudgmental environments during her sessions. When the atmosphere permits, she incorporates humor into her therapy sessions, finding that this often helps people relax while creating a genuine sense of connection. While Ms. Brinson knows that mindcare is significant at every stage of life, she is particularly invested in supporting, caring for, and guiding pre-teens and teenagers to help them develop healthy, positive perspectives.
