About Anoopinder Singh, MD

Anoopinder Singh, M.D., F.A.P.A. is a board-certified psychiatrist. He practices psychiatry with a holistic health approach. He attended the SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences in India for his medical education. He completed Psychiatry residency training at the Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine in New York, where he also completed a fellowship training in Psychosomatic Medicine with a focus on patients with co-morbid medical disorders. Dr. Singh received additional training in Disaster and Trauma psychiatry at the State University of New York, New Paltz, as well as specialized training in treating college track patients, Early episode mood and psychotic disorder, HIV Psychiatry, Obsessive-compulsive disorder and ADHD in adults. His research includes analyzing the evidence for the efficacy of complementary and alternative medicine. Dr. Singh has worked with Disaster psychiatry outreach, Medical Reserve Corps, Foreign and local governments, providing psychological first aid services in the aftermath of disasters in the United States and India. Dr. Singh sees patients over the age of 18. During time away from work, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, running, nature walks, photography, restaurants, and cooking.
