About Allison Shue, PMHNP

Allison Shue, PMHNP BC is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with training and experience in treating vulnerable populations and promoting mental health across the lifespan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on Critical Gender Studies from UC San Diego and her RN/Masters degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Yale University. Allison has worked for over 10 years in mental health, with the last several years spent in acute inpatient psychiatric hospitals, working with both children and adults.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Allison is trained to provide psychotherapy and psychopharmacology services, with an emphasis on recovery-centered care. She believes that psychiatric treatment is a collaborative process and meets the patient where they are at to work together to meet their goals. With a primary clinical focus in caring for patients age 6 and up, Allison provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management, with a focus on wellness through nutrition, exercise, and healthy sleep habits. She utilizes evidence based practice modalities and individualizes the plan of care to meet each patient’s unique needs.

In her free time, Allison enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and going to the beach.
