Barry C. Cosgrove

Barry is an American business executive, attorney, philanthropist, and activist. He serves as Chairman and CEO of Blackmore, LLC. founded in 2000. He is a graduate of Marquette University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Suffolk University School of Law, and the Harvard Business School Program for Advanced Management. Barry is a founder of DaVita, a founder of the Kidney Care Council (KCC), and a leader in expanding the American Kidney Fund’s efforts to ensure that U.S. kidney patients can afford their medical expenses. Previously He held senior executive positions with Total Pharmaceutical Care (now Apria) and the Kendall Company (now Medtronic). In addition, Barry remains a leading supporter of Gould Farm, the first residential therapeutic community in the nation dedicated to helping adults with mental illness and related challenges move toward recovery and independence. Barry has served on the Boards of multiple health care services, product companies and has dedicated his time to creating educational opportunities for financially disadvantaged students through his role as Chairman Emeritus of Cardinal Spellman High School. Barry is an advisor to the council for opportunity in Education and serves on the Dean’s Cabinet of Suffolk Law School and President’s Advisory Council at Marquette University.
